Summer Time

And the living is easy....

I Love Summer!! 

Except for the heat, but honestly it hasn't been too bad yet.  It's just the end of June. 

This summer is flying by, but we are making good memories! 

Lots more happening this summer and I am excited!!

To my dad...

In January I did a post about my dad for his birthday...but since today is Father's day, I want to continue to tell you why I think he is so great!

My dad and I are so much alike that we don't always get along.  We argue because we both know we are right and don't want to give in.  But of course he was always right.  

My dad has taught me so much growing up...of course I would never let him know that.

I learned that sometimes you have to do it all yourself.  I learned that you go and sit with people in the waiting room at the hospital, because it's the right thing to do.  I learned that I always had enough, even though I never thought I did. 

I could sit here and write for days the things I love about my dad, the things I learned from my dad, and how much alike we are, even looks, but that wouldn't do him justice.  

I saw true love when my mom was in the hospital.  I learned how a husband should be to his wife.  (I even married a guy just like my dad.)  I watched him hold my nephew for the first time.  I see him still love my nephews and spoil them rotten.  

I love to watch my dad laugh so hard that he can't speak.  I have even seen him drive down the road reading.  I have watched him cry in the elevator when we were leaving the hospital where his mother was, thinking it may be the last time he would see her.  

He is a fantastic dad, grandpa, mentor, husband to my mom, he was an amazing son to my grandparents, and son-in-law to my mom's parents.  

There are so many memories floating in my head that I can't make a coherent post.  

But what I do know is that I have the greatest dad ever.
